How Nothing
Becomes Something
(And how you can help)
Thanks for Nothing started as a simple house party. Every summer, for more than 10 years, it was just friends, drinks, games, and staying up late together.
In 2024, we wanted to host a murder mystery. That murder mystery turned into a competition, which became handmade puzzles to solve, and those puzzles (and the party) suddenly had a new theme every year.
In October of 2025, we hosted fifty guests for The Other Side, with teams solving occult mysteries and uncovering ritual items to banish a demon and save the world.
What started as a casual house party has become an event that takes more than a year to plan, design, and create.
Making The Magic
Aside from the puzzles themselves, there are two creative forces that make Thanks for Nothing possible:
Our Worldbuilders are the alchemists behind the atmosphere of Thanks for Nothing. They transform the event space with custom props, curated décor, immersive lighting, atmospheric effects, and soundscapes—every detail working in concert to transport guests to another world.
They’re also the hands behind our coveted, one-of-a-kind prizes that event winners take home when the night is over.
Worldbuilders are why guests walk in and say "holy shit."

Producers 🎬
Architects of flow and experience
Our Producers are the reason our guests are able to experience a smooth, magical event together. They manage guest registration, volunteer coordination, event schedules, and party logistics—all the infrastructure that makes the magic of the big day feel effortless.
They’re also among the very few who get a peek behind the curtain and understand how everything comes together.
Producers keep our trains on the tracks, full steam ahead.
